Healthy Growth

Healthy growth requires intentional planning for new infrastructure, as well as an increased focus on redevelopment in specific core neighborhoods and underdeveloped areas where infrastructure already exists. I will continue to support intentional growth that improves quality of life without putting a financial burden on the community. 

Improved Safety

I will continue to support our Law Enforcement by listening to their requests and making funding a top budget priority so that they have what they need to do their job. Additionally, we must focus on reducing recidivism for those incarcerated, while also promoting targeted programming that guides our youth to become contributing community members rather than lifelong criminals. I serve on the Governor’s Rehabilitation Task Force and would be honored to continue that work.

Increased Opportunities For All

I want residents in all stages of life to find opportunity here and feel like Sioux Falls is their home. Young people should want to start their careers here, and grandparents should want to retire here. Also, we must make an intentional effort to help the most vulnerable step into a new life where they find dignity through work and overcoming challenges. I will continue to advocate for parks and recreation and other initiatives that improve our quality of life, and I will also be a leader in finding ways to create opportunities for those struggling.
